not that you'd care
visiting friends down in Soho
billiards, snooker, five-card
drinks all around, hugs
one must leave for professional reasons
leave the rest to enjoy their time
the merriment continues until
the wee hours of the morning
one more is gone for the day
heading off to shimmering metropolis
the fun is gone
the week has begun
toiling, working, you-name-it
still hopeful to spend another time with you
not my best but...i was feeling good at the time
